12-year old Jay knew, without a doubt, that this day would come.
16-year old Jay had her doubts, but trucked on anyway (sometimes).
20-year old Jay practically gave up on the dream, but would occasionally open those old notebooks and Word docs to read the story from years past.
26-year old Jay made it her mission to get it done.

When I was younger, I thought publishing the book was the end of the journey, and then I could start over with the second book. Being an independent author and self-publishing, I’m quickly learning that is NOT the case… So stay tuned for more information about my journey! One thing that I will always associate with this book is the Lord of the Rings Online. Any reader who has played on the Brandywine server may recognize Munne’s name and match it to an elf hunter, member and leader of the Honor’s Blood kinship. “The Whispering Pass” was originally going to be just Munne’s story, and it took place in Middle-earth. I wrote several dramatizations of the raids from LOTRO back in 2009. Definitely the sort of fanfiction thing a teenager would do. But over time, her story evolved into something more, something unique, and she was joined by two other protagonists – Ray and Seth.
I’m so thankful for my Honor’s Blood kinmates, both from 2009 and 2022. The older generation of Honor’s Blood inspired me and taught me several valuable lessons, and some of their faces have made their way into “The Whispering Pass”. The newer generation has been so supportive of my writing journey, proofreading my drafts and offering critiques and feedback along the way.
